Philip’s request receives a Christ-centered answer
Philip asks to see the Father. Jesus answers, ‘He that hath seen me hath seen the Father.’ He does not claim His flesh is the Father’s eternal substance. He explains that the Father dwells in Him.
The visible Son is the complete revelation of the invisible Father because God is personally present and active in Him.
